SCOPE OF POSITION: Responsible for assisting and supporting the shelter veterinarian in examining, handling, and treating patients. Responsible for effectively communicating with the general public and those directly related to HSTC to ensure proper health care to animals under the protection of the shelter. Responsible for clinic cleaning, assisting in surgery, entering medical records, and post-operative recovery. Must have vet teach experience to apply.

JOB TITLE: Fundraising Associate
JOB DEPARTMENT: Community Outreach Department

JOB SUMMARY:
The Fundraising Associate at the Humane Society of the Treasure Coast will serve as an essential member within Development responsible for supporting HSTC’s mission and community impact priorities by: (1) Collaborating with all members of the Community Outreach team to provide support to the entire Department, (2) facilitating revenue-producing programs within the department, (3) Positively representing HSTC through community partnerships.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Development
· Expand current portfolio of Corporate Sponsorships, increasing financial support from existing and new corporate business partners – including being responsible for 20-30% new discovery.
· Collaborate with the Director of Community Outreach and the Development Manager to establish sponsorship goals for HSTC’s Signature Events and Programs.
· Collaborate with the Communications Department to develop and implement sponsor recognition through traditional and digital channels.
· Cultivate relationships with business partners and identify opportunities to increase sponsor involvement and visibility.
· Ensure corporate business partners receive timely and accurate acknowledgements and other communication pieces that support recognition, cultivation and stewardship efforts.
· Assist with entering, processing, and maintenance of donor data to ensure prompt gift processing, donor recognition and reporting.
· Oversee Pets of the Month Program, ensuring that pets are promoted, funding is secured, and sponsors are receiving proper recognition.
· Oversee Community Donation Box Program, ensuring donation boxes are strategically placed and monitored – including 20-30% new discovery. Build new relationships with local business partners to secure new placement opportunities.
· Coordinate fundraisers and donation drives with external groups in support of HSTC.
· Coordinate Corporate Volunteer Days with external groups in support of HSTC.
· Representation at HSTC Signature events.
· Attend networking events on behalf of the shelter.
· Assist with facilitating third party events.
QUALIFICATIONS
· Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Highly organized and able to handle multiple projects simultaneously to meet deadlines.
· Confident in public speaking.
· Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
· Ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
· Must have a valid Florida Driver’s License and clean driving record.
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE
· Associates or B.A/B.S Degree
· Experience in a non-profit fundraising environment
· Familiarity with AFP’s fundraising code of ethics
· Experience in a donor database (Raiser’s Edge Certificate preferred)
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
· Substantial lifting is necessary at times.
· Must be able to stoop, bend and lift overhead on a frequent basis.
· Must be able to control any personal allergic reactions to animals.
· Availability on evenings and weekends.

POSITION: Part Time Dog Adoption Kennel Attendant
REPORTS TO: Adoption & Customer Service Manager
CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt
SCOPE OF POSITION: Thursday through Monday, 8am - 5pm.
SALARY: Starting at $14-16/hr. based on experience.
JOB SUMMARY: The Dog Adoption Kennel Technician at the Humane Society of the Treasure Coast (HSTC) is an important part of the Adoptions team. The primary job function of the Dog Adoption Kennel Technician is to maintain the health and welfare of the dogs while also supporting adoption efforts. To achieve this, and working closely with Volunteers, cleaning and sanitizing kennels, providing animal nutrition, and counseling potential adopters are the essential responsibilities of this position. The Dog Adoption Kennel Technician also ensures that the basic needs of our shelter pets are met, while providing humane handling and care to the animals.
