To expand the message of the Humane Society of the Treasure Coast beyond our shelter, we go out into the community on Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday with our pets to find them permanent loving homes. Volunteers meet us at a mobile location to tend to the animals and to take an active role in the adoption process. Public relations and education, community awareness and animal handling are all part of the task.
Training involves dog and cat handling classes which take place at the shelter to ensure the safety and health of our animals. You will learn the adoption process hands-on working alongside a shelter employee at the mobile adoption site.
Remember, to begin your service with us, you must attend an orientation and be scheduled for training by the Volunteer Coordinator.
If you would like to schedule an orientation or have more questions about volunteering, please contact Sarah Fisher at firstname.lastname@example.org or call (772) 600-3217. To return to the Volunteer Main page, please click here.
