The Humane Society of the Treasure Coast is now an active partner in the national animal welfare organization, Best Friends Animal Society’s No More Homeless Pets® Network, which offers help and support to animal rescue groups that save lives in their communities.

“We are proud partners with Best Friends, which is the leader of the no kill movement, and thank them for welcoming us into their network,” said HSTC President and CEO Frank Valente. “Being involved with this powerful grassroots coalition will enhance our ability to provide care and find forever homes for animals brought to our shelter.”

The HSTC is Martin County’s only totally open access animal shelter and adoption center and it accepts every companion animal that is brought to its Palm City shelter. The HSTC provides progressive adoption, foster and enrichment programs for abandoned, abused and neglected animals in the area. The private, nonprofit organization also rescues or reunites more than 2,700 animals annually.
