More than 450 people hopped on down to the shelter on April 6 to enjoy the day with and without their rabbits. As with last summer, the Humane Society of the Treasure Coast is reaching overcrowded conditions at its Palm City shelter. To encourage summer adoptions, the HSTC is once again offering its “Priceless Pets Promotion” — a program that invites qualified adopters to name their price to adopt the dog or cat of their choice. The normal adoption fee is $90 for dogs and $35 for cats. All reasonable offers will be accepted. The program will begin July 1 and continue until the shelter returns to its normal capacity.
