Shakra’s Deli & Restaurant will host its second annual dog wash from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on July 27 to benefit the shelter animals at the Humane Society of the Treasure Coast (HSTC). The eatery is located at 887 NE Jensen Beach Blvd. in Jensen Beach.
For a $10 suggested donation, HSTC volunteers will wash dogs and puppies and for every wash, Shakra’s will give a buy one, get one free sub sandwich. The deli also will donate 10 percent of the day’s sales to the HSTC. There will be live music to add to the festive atmosphere.
Those looking to adopt a pet will have the opportunity to do so during the event. Select animals from the shelter will be on site.
