— Put on your dancing shoes to support the shelter animals! The Humane Society of the Treasure Coast and Fred Astaire Dance Studio are partnering on a new event, Dancing for the Paws, which will feature salsa, ballroom, tango and swing dance lessons and culminate in an exhibition dance show.

All of the classes will be held at the Fred Astaire Dance Studio at 2147 SE Federal Highway in Stuart. The salsa dance lesson will be Sept. 13; ballroom dance lesson, Sept. 27; tango dance lesson, Oct. 11; and the swing dance lesson, Oct. 25. These lessons will be held from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The grand finale ball and exhibition show is slated for Nov. 8 from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Individual dance classes are $15 per person and the finale show is $30 per person. Or for the best value, you can purchase a Series Package for $85, which includes all four classes and the finale event, and will feature an exhibition dance show, wine, heavy hors d'oeuvres, silent auction, raffle, door prizes and of course, dancing.

When you purchase the finale night plus one dance lesson you will receive one free private lesson. If you purchase the Series Package, you will receive two free private lessons. Space is limited so reserve your spot online at http://www.hstc1.org or at the Fred Astaire Dance Studio.
