The Humane Society of the Treasure Coast’s Public Spay/Neuter Program is the largest low cost spay/neuter program on the Treasure Coast. Every year more than 1,700 dogs, cats, or rabbits are brought to our Palm City Shelter Clinic by responsible pet owners that understand the importance of spaying and neutering their pets.
The procedure for dogs and cats includes: spay/neuter surgery, microchip & registration (24 Pet Watch), rabies vaccination (dogs/cats at least 4 months old at the time of surgery), pain injection and nail clipping. Addition fees may apply for cryptorchidic (undescended testicle) or umbilical hernia. Dogs and cats must be at least 2 months old and 2 lbs. for the procedure. Rabbits only receive spay/neuter surgical procedure and must be at least 4 months old and weigh 2 pounds (breed dependent).
Effective October 1, 2016, the fee for a dog to be altered is $100; cat is $50 and rabbits are $40.
