Humane Society of the Treasure Cost, Inc.

Teaching a child not to step on a caterpillar is as valuable to the child as it is to the caterpiller. (Bradley Miller)

Children trained to extend kindness and mercy to animals become more kind and considerate in their relations with each other.  Character training along these lines will result in men and women of broader sympathies, more humane, more law abiding in every respect and more valuable citizens.  (1933 National PTA Conference)

HSTC's Humane Education and pet therapy programs provide a diversified range of pet assisted activities that instill empathy, respect, kindness and responsibility for all animals, the environment, and each other.  We believe that by offering Humane Education and Community Outreach opportunities, we help people of all ages develop compassion, empathy and respect for all living beings, thereby creating a better world for people and animals alike.  We offer a diverse spectrum of programs supporting our mission.
